Advertising and affiliate disclosure
Kalliopi's Kitchen is funded by display advertising, served through Google AdSense. That is the whole business model and it is worth being direct about what it means for you as a reader.
Display advertising
Advertisements appear in fixed, clearly labelled positions on this site. Every ad slot is a reserved container with a set height, so adverts loading in do not push the recipe around underneath your finger. That is a deliberate technical decision and it costs some revenue.
Advertisers have no influence over the recipes. No advertiser sees content before it is published, and no product is recommended because someone paid for it to be.
Affiliate links
Where the site links to a specific ingredient or piece of equipment and that link earns a commission, it is marked. Affiliate links are never inserted into a recipe method, because a recipe should not be steering you towards a purchase mid-cook.
What the site will not do
- Publish sponsored recipes presented as ordinary ones.
- Recommend a product that has not been used.
- Insert advertising into the middle of a method or ingredient list.
- Use pop-ups that cover a recipe you are cooking from.
